"A flame of fire of Afghanistan" memorial evening

On February 11. 2019 in the Central city model library for children and young people evening — meetings "A flame of fire of Afghanistan" with our fellow countrymen soldiers — internatsialist, devoted to the 30th anniversary of a withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan took place.

The purpose of the meeting: to give younger generation full information on the Afghan war, to propagandize among youth courage and heroism of elder brothers — participants of military operations, let them to memorise their names and also learn them to love the earth.

Pupils of school-gymnasium № 3 named after Malika Gabdullina, pupils of secondary school № 21 and teachers took part in the meeting. The chairman of the Union of disabled people and veterans of war in Afghanistan of the Akmola region Ibrayev Duanbai Kazbaiuly, soldiers internatsialist Saken Ospanov were invited to the meeting. Saken Ospanov is the sniper who was at war in the city of Bagram, awarded with the medals "For Services in Battle", "For Courage" and "From the Grateful Afghan People"; Boris Sokol is the frontier guard serving in the city and awarded by the medals "For Services in Battle" and "From the Grateful Afghan People" and confirred by a reward "Soldier internationalist"; Mereke Zhusupbekov sergeant who was at war in Kabul. He has awards "For services in battle" and "From the grateful Afghan people". Teenagers listened to stories by veterans of the Afghan war. Pupils prepared verses for a meeting, and clubmen Murager sang patriotic songs. The video about the Afghan war was shown, the book exhibition "Unforgettable feats" was held.
