«The forefather of the Kazakh Art»

On the11th Januaryb in the City model library at Dostar recreation Center there were the evening meeting devoted to 115 birth anniversary of the national artist of the Kazakh SSR of Abilkhan Kasteev "The forefather of the Kazakh Art".

Purpose: to acquaint pupils with works of the famous Kazakh artist, graphic artist, one of founders of the Kazakh fine arts — Abylkhan Kasteev. The acquaintance with works of the artist where the reflection of tradition of national culture, such as applied art, oral and poetic and musical heritage, development informative thinking of pupils, through esthetic education, through love to national art. At the meeting there were the pupils of of Kokshetau Art School, the pupils of the 6th "Ә" class of SSh№8, teachers and regular readers of library. During the action readers were given summary of the artist’s life, several works of creativity were presented, the review of some author’s pictures. During the action the book exhibition "The great heritage of Abilkhan Kasteev" was organized, where the materials from periodicals from fund of library were presented. At the end of the evening meeting library workers asked pupils to draw a picture on a free subject. The teacher of Kokshetau Art School Amanzholov Zhalgas Amangeldyevich helped pupils to draw. In concluding remarks readers and pupils expressed the opinion on Abylkhan Kasteev’s art and on his numerous works
